My marvellous friends Clare and Sophie have launched a new festival - Lidofest!
Lidofest is the UK's first festival at a lido. It's a fun filled festival celebrating the wonderfulness of lidos and the joy of swimming! It runs from 1.00pm on Saturday 21st August at Charlton Lido in God's own country, south east London!
The event offers a chance to try new swim-related activities, meet special guests from around the world, have fun and win prizes. For the children, there will be a series of 'swimsafe, swimconfident' sessions throughout the day.
And rather marvellously 10% of profits will go to charity partners, The Black Swimming Association and Level Water. They have also launched Swimadelica, is a one stop shop for gifts for swimmers - check it out!
To celebrate this exciting, innovative event, I have put together a little playlist of swimming related music (of course I have...).
